Hi,

Might be able to get a good deal on a P-1032...but have an important question...

Can you boot a P-1032 with an external CD-ROM drive??

My little Libretto 110CT which is a great little laptop otherwise, can't boot from CD-ROM. This can be a PITA sometimes, so don't want to repeat this again....

Thanks for any input!

Mark

I can't boot from a USB CD on my P1120. I've heard of other people who can--it probably depends on BIOS version and drive model. I just boot from a floppy and then use the CD.

I still have not seen one confirmed instance of someone booting from a P1000 (any version), and also noting the model of CDROM. I've been watching for almost two years.

I have a P-1120 and it boots fine with a Fujitsu USB cdrom drive (Model: FPCCD33).

Well! Wow. Could you do me a favor and post your bios version before I go and order the drive?

Bios ver 1.07, Date 8/4/2003. Ive read some other posts where people have had trouble booting from a cdrom on machines with older BIOSes, so YMMV
